Dive in Bohol with Oasis Resort
Oasis Reosrt is located at Alona Beach, Panglao Island, in the peaceful province of Bohol. This spacious resort was opened in the year 2000.
The resort offers 22 comfortable rooms with aircon or fan, hot shower and private balcony. Sixteen of the rooms are located around the pool area and the other six, in a newly constructed annex building close to the dive center. Twelve Family rooms offer one double bed, one single bed and a pull out bed, good for 4 persons. Eight rooms come with two single beds and one pull out bed, ideal for 3 persons. They all furnished with air conditioning or fan, hot and cold shower, mini bar and a veranda.
The new annex, near the beach, is a 2 storey accommodation, with a total of six units, 4 of them consist of a living room and private bathroom on the ground floor and bedroom with veranda on the top floor. The other 2 units are located on the ground floor (corner room with one double bed, one single bed, one pull out bed and one double decked bed) and first floor (bedroom with one double bed, one single bed and one pull out bed).
Oasis resort features a lounging area with free Wifi access, swimming pool, restaurant and bar.
The restaurant, made out native and natural materials, welcomes up to 30 people and opens up on 3 sides with a great view of pool and gardens. Filipino and western food is served as a great variety of seafood.
The Dive shop organize two dives per day, set out at 9:30 am and the second dive finishes around 3PM. Night dive can be planned. The center operates 2 local banca’s and 2 speedboats. All outriggers boats and dive center are fitted with oxygen, first aid, spare equipment and communication facilities. The shop is equipped with Cressi-Sub gear and provides 10, 12 and 15 litre aluminium tanks with international valves, and nitrox fills up to 32% is offered. The dive team consists of local people who have been diving for a long time. They all speak english.
The best dives are around Balicasag (5 dive sites), Pamilacan and Cabilao Islands. All three islands have very different underwater scenery to offer. You will encounter schools of snappers, fusiliers, turtles, mouth mackerel, barracuda, giant trevally and tuna… The house reef of Oasis is great for check dive or night dive for experience diver. Mandarin fish can be spotted, and lot of differents crabs, slugs, eels, squid, octopus, blue ringed octopus…
