Dive in Ambon with Maluku divers
Maluku divers is a beachside resort situated on the north coast of Ambon, in Laha village, 10mn drive from airport. It was built specifically with divers in mind and is known for being the place to experience critters without crowds.
The 10 individual waterfront bungalows are nestled amongst mango trees, facing Ambon bay. They’re over 60 square meters and incorporates a large living area, private bathroom, hot water shower, air conditioning and ceiling fan, a photo editing desk equipped with charging station and a large covered private wooden terrace.
Four additionnal rooms, settled amongst the resort garden offer guests alternative accommodation option. They are smaller than the bungalows, however they have air conditioning, private bathroom, hot water shower, camera editing desk. The room can be either twin or double bed set up. There is a nice terrace to the front of the room, complete with chairs and a table.
The restaurant, bar and kitchen are situated in a traditionnal roof beachfront complex, with an open air patio. Delicious Indonesian and western meals prepared by the in-house chefs, are served by caring waiters and waitresses. Each day, a choice of breakfast is served with indonesian dishes available alongside eggs, toast, fruit pancakes with local honey. Lunch and dinner are three course meals, with lunch usually consisting of a lighter salad starter, followed by fresh fish with rice and vegetables, then a fruit dessert. Dinner is ofter a soup starter, then a chicken or beef main dish and traditional dessert.
An expansive dive lounge area allows divers to relax in complete comfort with wifi, critter ressource library and bar.
Maluku divers was designed with photographer and videographer in mind. A dedicated, climate controlled camera room with workstations for each divers allows ample space to prepare camera and housing equipment, dedicated camera rinsing area and padded camera bags are available.
A perfect organization to offer you relaxing diving days
A large enclosed equipment area adjacent to the restaurant, houses the dive showers, equipment rinse tanks and the covered wetsuit and BCD drying areas. Attentive boat helpers and crew will assist all divers with carrying tanks and equipment to the dive boats. Maluku Divers is equipped with 3 fibreglass speedboats, two ten metres craft and one of eight metres. All of the vessels boasts twin 200hp engines, ample supplies of water and snacks are provided, as well as individual hot towels for each divers. Nitrox is available and there is a selection of rental dive equipment at the resort.
Having been in operation since 2004, the resort’s dive team are very experienced in the waters of Ambon.
For non divers, full or half day tours can be arranged by Maluku divers, so they can enjoy the experiences of Ambon’s natural, historical and cultural attractions.
