The Junk “June Hong Chian Lee” is a magnificent 33 meter’s yacht in teak wood that welcomes 12 to 18 divers in 6 spacious AC cabins. She was built in Penang, Malaysia, in 1962 for charcoal transportation, and was part of a small merchant fleet that traded up and down the coastline from Burma to Malaysia. She worked another ten years as a commercial cargo vessel untill the early eighties. In the early eighties she arrived in Thailand and during 1985 she was restored and redesigned for the first time to serve as a classic yacht. She spends a little over ten years in Phi Phi Island and in 1997 the Junk changed hands again. The next owners spend the whole of 1998 restoring and rebuilding her. In December 1998 she had her first cruise with friends and owners to Burma, and starts to be commercialised for Similan island diving trip in January 1999.
She’s equipped with moderm communication and navigation devices (VHF radios, CB radios, video depths sounder, satellite navigation system), security equipment and first aid kits (oxygen tank, first aid kit, life jackets, fire extinguisher, life rafts for 25 people), divemaster and cruise director are all EFR certified.
From november to April, she sails in Andaman Sea in Similan for 4 days or 6 days cruise. During low season, she sails in Phi Phi, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang from June to end of August for 2 days cruise.
Six cabins welcomes passengers, all air conditioned, with private bathroom (hot water). They’re located on lower deck.

You will take your meals in AC saloon – dining area located on upper deck. It’s also a nice place to relax reading a book from the library, or watching a movie.
An outdoor chill out space is perfect to enjoy sunset after a diving day.
The boat is equipped with Air and Nitrox compressors, Tank Alu 12L, yoke and DIN valve, kit of oxygen therapy, tank of medical oxygen. Diving equipment set and Nitrox are available.Tour leader and divemasters are all nationality and all english speaking.
