Description

Ocean Hunter III, originally named RB lady Basten, was built and exploited as research ship for Maritime Australian Institute of Science. She changed owner and name, for Ocean Hunter 3, in September, 2007 and started her journey to Cebu for a complete renovation.

She hosts 2 Standard cabins, 4 Deluxe cabins and 2 Master cabins, all air-conditioned, with private bathroom. She can welcome up to 16 hosts with refinement and many space.

On the upper deck, is the wheelhouse, fitted out by separate GPS, gyroscopic compass and autopilot, several radios, sounders and a satellite phone. Then come the Master cabins, offering a King size bed, a sofa corner, bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilets, TV with DVD reader, minibar and a table to put a computer there, of big storage spaces with closet. The deck ends with solarium and Jacuzzi, deckchairs, chairs and tables to allow you to relax between the dives.

The main deck holds of a lounge with comfortable sofas, DVD drive, wide TV wall screen, a computer to burn your videos and photos, and a library. The galley is spacious and well equipped for the preparation of the “menus gourmets”. The beautiful woody dining room and the lounge are welcoming spaces to relax. Four separate tables allow the hosts to eat together without disturbance, on very comfortable stuffed seats.

At the bow, is the equipment gear area. It is a semi dry zone, with storage spaces and plugs to reload cameras and battery. The dive platform has individual racks and wide space for tanks. A filling station is supplied with Nitrox or Trimix blending.

The lower deck includes Deluxe cabins and Standard cabins. Deluxe Cabin is equipped with a king size double bed and a bunk single bed, a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilets, and of big storage spaces with closet. The Standard cabins, are equipped with a bed Queen size and a bunk single bed, and the same specificities as the Deluxe cabins.

A chaseboat, with many space and dry zones for stockage, is always ready to take you towards the dive sites. It is protected by a taud sun visor, has a marine radio VHF and is equipped with two engines Yamaha of 225 cv.

The crew is among 7: captain Kenneth, also dive instructor Padi and Iantd, working for 14 years with Ocean Hunter, Eddie, also instructor, Malsol is divemaster, Arlee is the Chef since 1999 for Ocean Hunter, and Ear, is the engineer of the boat, and two boat boys. All speak English.

Besides, Ocean Hunter III is designed for the professional submarine photography, the television and film production, with a large working area, 110, 220 and 415 volt sockets and an additional storage space. She is equipped with powerful PC, with capacities of download, e-mail and CD burning. Several supports in the shooting are available, as two generators for the supply of high voltage, one hydraulic crane to lift most of the remote-controlled vehicles, the submarine cameras and mini submarine, an air-conditioned laboratory for the scientific research and the film productions, an underwater scooter and lighthouses for the lighting of corals, caves and remains, as well as ultraviolet filters.

Technical divers are welcome on board. They will find a filling station Nitrox & Trimix, 100% O2 and support for rebreather
